Afex® is the patented breakthrough for male urinary incontinence management

Urinary collection system designed to be a comfortable, discreet, and innovative alternative to adult diapers, condom catheters, and other

Afex can be used by active, sedentary, and mobility assisted adult males with incontinence.

The Afex System effectively controls odor, leakage, wetness and helps fight skin rash associated with other products used to manage incontinence.

This video is produced by the manufactorers of Afex. Elderstore currently cannot accept Medicare, Medicaid or any other insurance policies.

Afex Kit contains everything you will need to get started!

  • One Brief made of 96% premium combed cotton and 4% Lycra
  • One Universal Fit Receptacle
  • One Reusable Collection Bag - 17 ounce (500 ml)
  • 4 oz. Concentrated cleanser solution
  • One Cleaning Container

The Briefs discretely and comfortably support the Receptacle and Collection Bag while preventing the bag from rubbing against your leg.

Afex Briefs are available in two styles: Regular and Open Sided.

The regular briefs feature two tabs on the lower inside leg to stabilize the bag during higher activity levels in addition to a horizontal Fly front to allow easy access for normal urination.

The Open Sided briefs open on both sides with fabric hook and loop fasteners and offer a much shorter length. They're the perfect solution for wheelchair users and non-ambulatory or bedridden users. The side opening feature gives caregivers easier access to non-ambulatory incontinence patients and the shorter style length is ideal for summer time comfort when wearing shorts.

Afex Regular Briefs are available in sizes ranging from Small to 3X-Large. Special customized sizes ranging from 4X-Large to 6X-Large are also available upon request. (If custom sizing is needed, please call 1.888.833.8875 to order).

Afex Open Sided Briefs are available in two sizes: Small - for 28 to 38 inch waist and X-Large - for 40 to 50 inch waist.

The Receptacle is adhesive free, pressure free and latex-free. It has a soft double-walled liner with drain holes to reduce skin exposure to residual urine and to prevent backflow.

The Receptacle is available in your choice of High or Low styles:

High Style with Flexi-Top is recommended for more active users and overnight use.

Low Style is best for users who sit for an extended period of time.

The Reusable Collection Bag eliminates the need for tubes or leg straps and the "turn-n-click" design makes attaching the bag simple and quick. The Collection Bag is double-sealed to contain odor and will securely hold up to 17 ounces of fluids.

Afex System for Overnight Incontinence

Afex Incontinence Management System provides hours of worry-free sleep when used overnight. Adding the following Afex components to your system allow you to have nonstop, uninterrupted, sleep through the night sleep! All you need to do is add the:

  1. Afex 2-Liter Bed Bag

  2. Afex Extension Tube Assembly

These two additions will eliminate your need to get up throughout the night for visits to the toilet, and will help protect your clothes and bed linens from bed wetting accidents.

For overnight protection in lieu of using the receptacle and collection bag, choose the Afex Overnight Snap-In Pad. This reusable pad also provides moderate to heavy incontinence wetness protection.

  • The Afex overnight snap-in pad is designed to securely attach to the standard afex brief for temporary overnight protection when the receptable and collection bag are not in use.

  • This ultra-absorbent reusable pad absorbs up to 12 ounces (350 ml) of fluid easily and is machine washable.

Additional Briefs, Receptacles, Formulated Cleansing Solution and Reusable Collection Bags are also available to buy separately! It's always a good idea to have extra components around for use when washing or cleaning your used components.

NOTE: The Afex system does not work for men with retracted or retractive penile incontinence. If this describes your condition, consider using the Afex Boxer Briefs with the Afex Reusable Overnight Pad or try using the Retracted Penis Pouch for Male Incontinence.

I've ordered this Aflex Kit for my 89 year old father. After trying other products with no success, this has been a real blessing for him. After being basically homebound for fear of having an accident in public, he now is able to go out, visit and feel safe and secure when using this product. It's been a long time since he's been able to smile so much now that he has freedom again. In addition would like to thank the Elder Store for their great Customer Service. They have been wonderful to work with.

i BOUGHT THIS SYSTEM FOR MY HUSBAND TO USE WHEN HE SLEEPS. IT WORKS PERFECTLY. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT IT MAY BE BECAUSE THE SYSTEM WORKS WITH GRAVITY. THE MAN SHOULD BE IN A HIGHER BED SO THE URINE COULD FLOW DOWNWARD. IF THERE IS A TURN IN THE TUBE IT MAY NOT WORK. ALSO, ELEVATE HIS HEAD WITH A COUPLE PILLOWS AND TWO KING SIZE PILLOWS ON THE SIDE OF HIM SO HE DOES NOT ROLL OVER OR FOR SURE IT WILL NOT WORK. I LOVE IT!!

I find this system to have its pluses and minuses. On the plus side, it works, for the most part, great during sitting positions. However, when in a sleeping position, the system does not perform well, as my Dad is constantly soaking wet along with the bed and pads, most every morning when I get him up. We cannot figure out why this is. I believe a better design should be thought of that improves upon the existing system. If we experienced the same results in the sleeping position as in the sitting position, we would rate this product a 5. And yes, we are using the corrrect recepticle, bag, hoses, etc., and all is connected properly.

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your review! It’s good to know that the Afex® Incontinence Management System works for your dad during the day. However, it’s not good to know it doesn’t work for him through out the night. You mentioned that you are using the correct night time components which are the overnight bag, extension tube and high style receptacle. If these are the components you’re using and you’re still experience leakage, then you might want to consider the position of the extension tube and bed bag. The tube and the bag should remain in a downward position to ensure the fluid flow is also downward. But, if your father tosses and turn throughout the night or sleeps on his stomach, the Afex Overnight Pad (http://www.elderstore.com/afex-overnight-pad.aspx) is recommended for use with a heavy duty bed pad (http://www.elderstore.com/waterproof-furniture-protectors_187.aspx).

Again, thank you for your feedback. I hope the suggestions offered above are helpful. If so, please let us know.

Sincerely,
ElderStore Editor
