For those
who want or need a bath stool but dislike the
"medical" look of most shower chairs on the market; those white plastic
seats with aluminum legs, this is an option for you. This is a very
attractive shower stool that doesn't take up too much room in your shower.
The triangular seat portion of this stool is constructed of
teak. Teak is known for it's ability to withstand and holdup to water and
moisture. Over time, the finish turns a soft silver gray.
The adjustable height legs will accommodate a most individuals
other than the very tall or the very short. The legs adjust in height from
13 inches to 19 inches. The bottoms of the legs are fitted with large
rubber tips to reduce slipping and prevent scratching.
The teak seat is 22.5 inches wide and 16 inches deep.
The footprint of this stool is 22.5 inches by 22 inches. The bath stool
can hold up to 300 lbs. maximum weight. The stool weighs 13 lbs.
The seat should not be cleaned with regular bathroom
type cleaning products or the teak will be damaged.
The teak could be oiled with mineral oil or other Danish type
furniture oil to maintain and clean, if desired. Just oil, let sit a few
minutes and then wipe off with paper towels or a clean, soft cloth. It is
imperative that the stool should not be oiled if there is any moisture on or in
the teak whatsoever. If your shower remains constantly in a wet or moist
state, you will probably not be happy with this product. The teak would
never be able to completely dry out and would eventually take on some less
desirable characteristics.
There is a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer on
this item. Please note however, this bath stool is not returnable under
