Homecraft Curved Transfer Board
The tapered ends and smooth surface
of this unique transfer board
provide easy sliding onto and off of the board. The curved board
allows varied positioning to accommodate a variety of transfer
situations. The board is intended to compensate for a disability
by helping a person transfer from one sitting position to another.
The transfer
board can be used to
transfer to your bed, a chair or sofa, your wheelchair, the toilet or
your bath. etc.
Slip resistant pads are attached on the underside
of each end of the transfer board. The slip resistant pads
increase stability while you transfer. The pads are constructed
from PVC. The curved board allows varied positioning to
accommodate a variety of transfer situations.
Instructions for use:
With the slip resistant pads down, position one end of the board under
the user's body and the other on the destination surface (chair, bed,
etc.) Position the board so it supports the full body weight
during transfer and the curve facilitates the transfer.
The smooth surface of the board is best suited for clothed transfers.
For bare-skin transfers, a towel can be placed over the board for a
smoother, more comfortable transfer.
Care and Cleaning:
The Curved Transfer Board is made from solid, reinforced plastic that is
waterproof and resists chipping, shattering and splintering. The
polypropylene board with PVC pads can be cleaned with a household
disinfectant or mild detergent and water.
Dimensions:
The board is 28 inches long by 15 inches wide, tapering to 10.25 inches
wide at the middle.
Note: The transfer board supports up to 335 lbs. |
