Better Pant™
is a urology undergarment with an internal leg pouch that conceals and
secures the External Collection System in place without leg straps.
|
Better Pant™ is used with an External Collection Systems (not included)
including condom catheters, ileoconduit and some Foley catheters.
This urology undergarment has an internal pouch that conceals and holds a
500ml or 1000ml leg bag securely in place without the use of the more
commonly used leg straps. Leg straps, when tight, can constrict circulation to
the lower leg. The friction from the leg straps may cause open skin ulcers. At
the very least, the leg straps are very uncomfortable. Eliminating leg straps
has been shown to reduce these negative effects.
Better Pant™ offers the user a higher level of physical activities
without the fear of the leg bag slipping down the leg and causing an
embarrassing accident.
Ambulatory, as well as quadriplegic, paraplegic and other non-ambulatory
individuals have used Better Pant™ with comfort and security. Better
Pant™ is skin friendly, comfortable and easy to use.
Better Pant™ is recommended for either men or women.

Celeste Bonham, founder and president of Uro Concepts, Inc., developed the
patent pending Better Pant™. Celeste became involved with the urology market
after her father became incontinent due to post-prostate cancer. Doctors tried
to reverse his urinary problem, through two subsequent operations with no
success. Her father, a retired Lt. Colonel in the Air Force, became depressed
having to wear diapers due to incontinence. After a couple of years, he learned
about external collection systems. Soon after using his first external
collection system, his depression vanished because he was no longer wearing
diapers.
Although the external collection system was a vast improvement from diapers, it
was still far from being perfect. There were problems with that system as well.
The external collection system used leg straps to hold the leg bag in place
which cut off the circulation to his leg and allowed the leg bag to slip when it
became full. The possibility of the leg bag falling down and creating a urinary
mishap was a concern.
Celeste, wanting to further improve her father's quality of life, researched the
urology market. She discovered how to effectively improve the existing external
collection products. Better Pant™ is the direct result of those improvements.
Her father loves Better Pant™ and we know you will too.
Celeste is also in the process of developing:
- A female Device for use with external collection systems.
- Undergarment for use with Nephrosystomy system.
