There are multiple user modes with the 4 Button Transmitter to fit your loved one's specific needs:

Toggle Operation-In this mode you'll enjoy one button operation, meaning one button is programmed to do both the opening and closing of the door. When the remote is activated the door will either open or close, depending on its current position.
Open/Close Operation-Two of your remote buttons can open the door and the other two can close it. If you have two doors set up, one remote can control both doors.
Timer Operation-This mode is programmed by the user to close the door automatically after anywhere between 10 to 50 seconds, in intervals of ten seconds.
